Best known for railroad photography, O. Winston Link also shot promotional images of Haverford and many are in Special Collections.
Haverford has more than 145 groups who publish magazines, host symposia, sing a cappella, discuss religion and spirituality, stay politically active, maintain a system of student self-government, dance, demonstrate and create.

Each year more than 130 Haverford students take advantage of the opportunity to study abroad.
Haverford’s rigorous academic program focuses on individual growth, intellectual exploration and pushing the boundaries of each discipline. Most classes are taught seminar style with an emphasis on discussion and debate.

A $1 million grant from the National Science Foundation brought several high-tech instruments to campus. Among them is this confocal microscope, which employs a laser beam to produce high-quality images.
