Friend in Residence - Fall 2018

The Friend in Residence program brings gifted and experienced Quakers to campus for extended interactions with students, staff, faculty, and the community to stimulate reflection on the connections between academic pursuits and “letting one’s life speak.”

Get Out the Vote

Most on-campus residents and many of our neighbors will now vote in the Facilities Management building, thanks to a non-partisan effort by Haverford Votes and the College to re-locate the precinct's polling place.

Then & Now: Founders Great Hall Now

Founders Great Hall

With Magill Library under renovation, Founders Great Hall has been put to temporary use (along with a number of other spaces on campus) as a library stand-in, complete with study carrels and the relocated staff of research librarians. Upstairs, the Common Room is now a spot for quiet reading.

Then & Now: Founders Great Hall Then

Founders Great Hall

Founders Great Hall served as the College’s dining hall for more than 60 years, until the Dining Center opened in 1969. Since then, the majestic room has been a busy special events space, hosting invited speakers, student dances, alumni weddings, and concerts.

Come back tomorrow to see the Great Hall "Now."

The Campus

Our campus has 200 acres of award-winning architecture and landscaping; more than 50 academic, athletic, and residential buildings; and a nationally recognized arboretum with 400 species of trees and shrubs, a 3.5-acre duck pond, gardens, and wooded areas.
