The Center for Peace and Global Citizenship has named its 2019–2020 Haverford House Fellows. These six seniors, who were chosen for this fellowship for their commitment to social justice and community action, will spend next year working at Philadelphia nonprofits and strengthening connections between the College and the city.

There’s not really a road map for success as a non-classical cello player and composer, so Nick Takénobu Ogawa ’05 has been making his own path, one instinctual step at a time. Ogawa has been playing shows and releasing recordings under the nom-de-music Takénobu since he graduated from Haverford.

Hurford ’60 Center for the Arts and Humanities (HCAH) supports the intellectual and artistic ambitions of faculty, students, and staff, fostering collaboration, experimentation, and critical thought under the auspices of the Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery, the Tuttle Creative Programs, and other Center initiatives.

Oscar Wang '14, founder/CEO of College Together, recently started another new program that places ambitious college-age youth in paying jobs at some of Philly's top restaurants and prepares them for careers in the hospitality industry.
