Study Abroad Photo Contest

This homepage ran on Friday, May 11, 2018. Content and links may have changed.

“I never understood what a 'life-changing' experience was until I went to Rome. I walked in with eyes half-lidded and walked out with a new respect for the beauty of the world and its infinite complexities.” – Zakery Oglesby '17

Each year more than 130 Haverford students take advantage of the opportunity to study abroad.

2018 Study Abroad photo contest first place winner in the Places category: Anna Dekle '18, "Eilean Donan Castle", taken in Dornie, Scotland.

COOL CLASSES: “Inventing Modern Science”

“Inventing Modern Science”

Associate Professor of History Darin Hayton's course, which explores the revolution in the sciences that occurred between 1500–1750, seeks to understand how and why certain people began to investigate the natural world in new ways and how they convinced other people that their new ways were better.

Our Cool Classes blog series highlights interesting, unusual, and unique courses that enrich the Haverford College experience.
