Strange Truth 2024 explores the non-fiction imagination in films by Sam Green, Alison O’Daniel, and Ludovic Bonleux.
All events held at Bryn Mawr Film Institute. Each will be followed by conversations with artists and filmmakers.
Now in its 15th year, the film series begins March 27 with a live film performance by Oscar-nominated director Sam Green.
Hypervisibility and Reclamation explores the contradictions we face when surveillance is conflated with safety; when law enforcement agencies, governments, businesses, and institutions leverage digital and biometric technologies to track us, as well as our resistance and community responses.

September 22–November 13, 2020: Faced with time during the COVID-19 lockdown and a campus blossoming from winter to spring and spring to fall, Ying Li did what any artist would do and went to work, painting each day en plein air. The result captures the abstract beauty of Li’s creative output from March – August 2020.

Supported by the Summer DocuLab initiative, five Tri-College students will are spending summer 2020 working on the experimental film Smile4Kime, directed by Mellon Post-Doctoral Fellow and Visiting Assistant Professor of Anthropology and Visual Studies Elena Guzman along with the film’s Executive Producer, animator Cybee Bloss.
