Community Conversation Series
A monthly series that brings together LGBTQ+, femme- and women identified students and the larger college community exploring various topics related to justice, intersectionality, resilience, coming home to our whole selves, etc.
Our Roots: QTBIPOC Radical Healing Space
A monthly gathering space with workshops and events centering the stories of Queer and Trans, Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color (QTBIPOC) and providing a space for open dialogue, community connections, and collective resilience.
HerStory: An Anthology
A tradition that began with the first co-ed class graduating in 1984, HerStory is an anthology that is composed of students’ stories, poetry, and art capturing their years at Haverford. The anthology chronicles the voices of senior students and is archived at GRASE.
A pilot program launched during the 2021-2022 academic year providing students with gender-affirming products of their choice, free of cost. Programming also includes educational workshops and support on gender-affirming care.
LGBTQ+ History Month
A month-long program that honors the history, legacies, and movement of Queer and Trans communities. Events include an archival exhibit of LGBTQ+ activism on campus, visit to Philadelphia Gayborhood, conversations, and celebration of National Coming Day.
Trans Awareness Month
A series of programming at Haverford to honor, celebrate, and advocate for our Transgender, Non-binary, and Gender Non-conforming communities. The Transgender Awareness Month includes Transgender Awareness Week and culminates with the annual Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR).
Campus wide events and workshops on sex positivity, sexualities, and healthy sexual relationships.
Women’s History Month
Programming to commemorate and celebrate the vital role of Haverford women in gender equity and right to equal education. An archival exhibit is hosted in partnership with Lutnick Library that illustrates the stories of the fight for women’s right to education, the formation of the Women’s Center following gender based violence, and the leadership and (in)visibility of Black and Brown Haverford women.
Campus Pride Month
A month-long celebration of Pride Month at Haverford that includes Pride Festival, Drag Ball, Community Conversation, panels, mixers, film screening, and more.
Sexual Assault Awareness Month
A series of programs to raise awareness, co-create dialogues, and provide resources arounds issues of sexual relationships, consent, and boundary violation.
An end-of-year celebration honoring the achievements and contributions of LGBTQ+ graduating students.
Senior Women*s Brunch
A Haverford College tradition, Senior Women*s Brunch is a time where the Center and the larger college community celebrates the accomplishments of senior women, non-binary, and gender non-conforming seniors. The event is typically held during the two weeks of graduation ceremony and accompanied by readings of HerStory and congratulatory wishes from faculty and staff.
