Join Combatants for Peace and American Friends of Combatants for Peace on Saturday, November 16, 2024 (7:00 - 9:00pm ET) to hear from Palestinian CfP activist Mai Shahin and Israeli CfP activist Elie Avidor as they share insights on how we can collectively forge a just peace.
We will also screen There Is Another Way, a new powerful documentary that explores the efforts of Palestinian and Israeli peace activists striving to hold together in the aftermath of October 7th, the ongoing war in Gaza, and rising violence in the West Bank. The film builds on the award-winning Disturbing the Peace (2016) and explores the vision of collective liberation, where the needs, rights, and safety of all are prioritized.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The film There Is Another Way includes bodycam and video footage from Hamas, the Israeli military, and individuals impacted by the ongoing violence. While we believe these images are essential to telling the story, they may be distressing or difficult for some viewers to watch. Viewer discretion is advised.
Combatants for Peace (CfP) was founded by Israeli and Palestinian former combatants who laid down their weapons to choose one another and seek a peaceful, equitable future side-by-side. The CfP movement is dedicated to nonviolently co-resisting the occupation, transforming oppression, and co-creating a future where all people live with dignity, equality, and liberty.
