Wednesday, October 25, 7:30PM, VCAM Screening Room
Screening organized by Aby Isakov ’24 & Hunter Logan ’23.
A representative sampling of the 68th Flaherty Film Seminar, themed Queer World-Mending. From 66 films screened over 5 days, this curated collection embodies “a playground of desire, a laboratory for developing and performing new subjectivities” envisioned by Flaherty programmers Jon Davies & Steve Reinke. In exploring pleasure, desire, tension, and friction, this program interrogates the forms of queer transgression offered by some of the most influential (and experimental) queer filmmakers of the century.
The Hurford Center for the Arts and Humanities annually supports faculty, staff, and students to attend the Robert Flaherty Film Seminar, the longest continuously running documentary film event in North America. Learn more at this event about how to attend.
Sponsored by the Hurford Center for the Arts and Humanities and VCAM.
