Event Details - Translations and Adaptations of Classical Chinese Poetry

The students of Shiamin Kwa's course EALC 110: Introduction to Chinese Literature have been working on translations and adaptations of classical Chinese poetry this semester. Through a variety of activities, they have been asked to consider the different ways that a poem can be experienced. The artist Laura Park, who will be visiting the class to help the class visualize their poetic adaptations, will also be giving a public lecture about the use of words and images in her own work that afternoon.
