Dining Services: Chef Harold Bodden

Chef Harold Bodden

Chef Harold  Bodden has worked at Haverford Dining Services for 12 years.  He was born in New York City and then raised and attended school in Trenton, New Jersey.  After high school Harold entered the U.S. Air Force and left after four years with an honorable discharge.  Chef Harold began his career working in a variety of jobs for example Pepsi Cola, The Hyatt, and Marriott.

He began establishing his culinary skills while working at St. Lawrence Rehabilitation.  It was there that a dietitian noticed his talent and suggested that cooking become a career choice.  Harold took his skills and knowledge and went to work for Princeton University where he earned the title “Chef”.  Chef Bodden may seem gruff but he is passionate about food and well respected. The students here at Haverford have often complemented him on his creative pasta specials.  He is always quick to speak and interact with the students and easy to pass a joke.   Chef Bodden also has his own Catering Business called “Bombay Catering which has been quite successful.  In his spare time he loves all types of music and loves spending time at home with his wife watching college football.  Chef Bodden is an asset to Haverford College Dining Services.
