Student Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
The Student Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (SDEI) team works with our Haverford campus communities to support students, promote campus-wide social justice education, and assist in animating Haverford’s commitment to becoming an antiracist college.
We work in partnership with the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) to invigorate the DEI initiatives at various levels of the institution. We will also continue the crucial work of THRIVE (Truth, Healing, Resiliency, Inclusion, and Equity), the campus-wide program Joyce Bylander, the former Interim Dean of the College, implemented and oversaw that focuses on racial healing and social justice at Haverford.
Overseen by Raquel Esteves-Joyce, the associate dean of the college for student diversity, equity, and inclusion, the new SDEI team includes:
- Center for Gender Resources and Sexuality Equity (GRASE)
- John P. Chesick Scholars Program for First-Generation/Low-Income Students
- Marilou Allen Office of Service and Community Collaboration
- Office of International Student Support
- Office of Race and Ethnicity Education
- Religious and Spiritual Life
- Quaker Affairs
