Individual Therapy Options
Ongoing Individual Therapy
Students interested in individual counseling meet as often as every week free of charge for one-on-one therapy with a CAPS therapist. There is no limit to the number of these 45-minute sessions; work with your therapist to explore what you need from therapy.
At CAPS we believe that the relationship between student and therapist is the most important thing. If you feel that you would benefit from seeing someone else, please do not hesitate to let us know. You can communicate that directly to your counselor, email prawling [at] haverford.edu (Patty Rawlings), contact us at hc-caps [at] haverford.edu or fill out the Request to Change Therapists form.
One Time Session/Consultation
A single 45-minute session focused on a particular concern. You are encouraged to reflect on the topic before the session, since 45 minutes can go by quickly!
During the hours of 11am-noon and 2pm-3pm each weekday (Monday-Friday), CAPS holds drop-in hours in which you can meet with a CAPS counselor for a brief 15-20 session.
To sign up, email hc-capsdropin [at] haverford.edu on the day of the drop-in hour you would like to attend. You can come to a drop-in session whether or not you see a CAPS counselor for individual therapy.
