10th Annual Joe Schwartz '83 Memorial 3K Run and Walk set for Sunday, April 9 at 12:30 p.m. on Founders Green Joe Schwartz '83 was a four-year member of Haverford’s cross country and track teams, excelling in both sports. Diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) at age 34, he courageously endured the disease’s hardships before passing away thirteen years later. All proceeds benefit the ALS Association, Greater Philadelphia Chapter. Last year, 332 runners and walkers participated, pushing the total raised past $55,000 for research and patient care. Calling all Fords Our student-run spring Phonathon is underway. When you see Haverford on your caller i.d., make sure to pick up and talk with one of our amazing undergraduates. They’re ready to update your contact information, share news, and answer questions about life on campus today. Last year, 14% of alumni donors chose to make their Annual Fund gifts through Phonathon.
