Despite torrential rain, about 70 members, neighbors, staff, and volunteers enjoyed cocktails, dinner, and friendly conversation about the Haverford College Arboretum.
Arboretum Director Claudia Kent spoke of the progress made on the Arboretum’s revitalization plan. She introduced a short video , “Through the Seasons,” which highlighted the Arboretum’s recent progress and iconic collections.
Guest speaker Ethan Kauffman, the Natural Lands director of nearby Stoneleigh provided an insider’s look at the creation of the public garden and the ongoing challenges of preserving this historic treasure.
