Haverford College provides funding and resources to help students pursue internship experiences where they can learn about and contribute to the work of a mission-driven organization, while simultaneously exploring career paths and building professional skills.
The College has a variety of community partnerships and funding opportunities to support students pursuing summer internships related to community engagement.
Center for Professional Advising (CCPA)
The CCPA provides resources to help students discover internship and post-graduate opportunities including the CareerConnect internship/job board, employer information sessions, on- and off-campus recruiting, career fairs (including the annual Not-For-Profit Career Day in February), and a central listing of College Sponsored Internships. They also help students prepare resumes, cover letters, and personal statements, and develop interviewing and networking skills.
The Academic Centers & College Affiliated Resources
The Academic Centers offer an array of opportunities and support for students interested in gaining professional experience with mission-driven organizations over the summer. These opportunities include internships through formal College-sponsored partnerships and funding for self-designed internships.
