If you aren’t sure how to narrow your career interests, are considering making a change (in major or career), don’t know where to begin, or simply feel overwhelmed by the process, schedule an appointment with a Career Advisor.
You have many special talents and skills to offer to the world. As you become more aware and confident of your interests, abilities and values, you will move closer to knowing how to plan your life. This is not a simple task. However, if you are willing to take time to explore your specific interests and develop your skills, you will discover there is a very logical approach to making good career decisions.

The CCPA's virtual career success center, offers unique career assessment tools that factor in your values, temperament, interests and personality to help you develop–and achieve–career goals. This assessment is free for Haverford students and alumni.
FOCUS 2 & Career Exploration
CCPA has paid for online resources to help students to assess their interests and explore career options. Of special interest is FOCUS 2, a self-paced, online career assessment and education planning tool.
Test and Inventories
Contact CCPA office to utilize one of 3 inventories:
An assessment that tracks your top ten five talent themes as a means toward helping you to discover your strengths. For a limited time students can take the assessment at no charge.
Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
Looks at eight personality preferences that all people use at different times. It describes preferences based on research that points to preferred type
Strong Interest Inventory
Measures your interests and compares these with the interests of people happily employed in a wide variety of occupations. Takes approximately 30-35 minutes to complete and 7-10 days to receive the results.
