Information regarding program cancellations and campus closures in response to COVID-19
In an effort to support social distancing by reducing the number of people on campus at any given time, we are prohibiting public access to Haverford College buildings and athletic facilities, and discouraging access to the Nature Trail. Only residents, employees, and those with official business at the College will have vehicular access to campus.
With an overabundance of caution, the Arboretum has canceled all events, programming, and volunteer sessions through April 6th, 2020. Refunds have been issued for all registered participants, and we hope to be able to reschedule some of the programs.
We take this step with a heavy heart given how much we welcome a strong connection with the surrounding community. However, reducing the risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus is of paramount importance, and with a large number of students, faculty, and staff living and working on campus, we believe that the most prudent path forward involves reducing the congregation and contact that we would normally welcome at the College.
We look forward to lifting these restrictions and seeing you in the (hopefully) near future. We will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves and will reassess the rest of the spring program lineup at a later date. Thank you for your continued support of our Arboretum!
