Additional Course Info | (Cross-listed as CPSC 065) This course is an introduction to the fundamental concepts in natural language processing, the study of human language from a computational perspective. The focus will be on creating statistical algorithms used in the analysis and production of language. Topics to be covered include parsing, morphological analysis, text classification, speech recognition, and machine translation. No prior linguistics experience is necessary. Prerequisite: CPSC 035 or the equivalent. |
