Additional Course Info | Class Number: 2791 Since the end of WWII, democratization, decolonization, and globalization have created new opportunities for nations to develop in formerly colonized and occupied spaces. This has in part provided the opportunity for nationalist political parties to develop around the globe, sometimes to form new nations and/or to protect existing cultures. In this course, we will examine the features of nationalist political parties: how they develop, why/when they develop, and what makes them different from their competitors.; Pre-requisite(s): Students must have completed POLS 131 - Introduction to Comparative Politics.; Lottery Preference: Political science majors, seniors, juniors; Enrollment Limit: 15.00 Social Science, B: Analysis of the Social World (; Hav: SO, B) |
