Additional Course Info | Class Number: 1689 Exploration of contrapuntal techniques and forms, such as canon, two-part invention, and fugue, with an emphasis on the works of J.S. Bach and beyond. Featured this semester will be the study of counterpoint in contemporary styles. This is a studio course which will result in a portfolio of works for various instruments, ranging from harpsichord to percussion. We will be writing for Philadelphia’s Network for New Music and other guest artists, who will visit our class to offer feedback, perform and record your work.
