Additional Course Info | Class Number: 2180 This course examines the songs, operas, piano music and symphonic works of Berlioz, Liszt, Schubert, the Schumanns, Loewe, Wagner, Verdi, Dvorak, Mahler, and Brahms. We will learn about changing styles and forms, and we will put music in the contexts of literary Romanticism, nationalism, and changing social world of musicians and the musical institutions.; Prerequisite: Any full credit course in Music, or consent of the instructor.
