Additional Course Info | Class Number: 1307 The fall-semester course is a survey of Western Civilization from the fall of Rome to the sixteenth century. It focuses on the institutional and intellectual dimensions of the western tradition, by closely interrogating both primary sources and secondary accounts. The second semester of this course (which may be taken independent of the first semester) picks up at the beginning of the sixteenth century and goes to the present.
