Group Workshops in the OAR
The OAR's new workshop initiative invites student groups over for a dinner and workshop tailored to their interests.
The OAR is looking to partner with student organizations, athletic teams, and other groups of interested students for whom we can host tailored workshops. Maybe your pre-law organization wants to learn the most efficient reading strategies, your sports team wants to hear about time management, or you and your Math 118 study buddies are interested in the best way to prep for exams. For these or any other opportunities, the OAR is excited to work with you. We love group-based workshops such as these because the participants can reinforce the lessons with each other after the workshop has ended, and we believe that the best way to learn is in the company of friends. Plus, dinner is on us.
Group workshop topics include but are not limited to:
- Time management
- Overcoming procrastination
- Strengthening focus and attention
- Reading strategies
- Strategies for skill-development
- Exam prep and writing strategies
- Writing your senior thesis
- Semester blueprinting
- Mindfulness and meditation
Dinner options include but are not limited to:
- Carlino's (Italian)
- Hummus (Mediterranean)
- Golden Bowl (Chinese)
- Jules' Pizza
- El Limon (Mexican)
- Admore Pizza
Interested? Email firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us what group you’re with, what type of workshop you’d like, preferred dinner and dietary settings, and some possible workshop dates/times. Please be aware that, if demand is high, we may need extra time to accomodate your request.
