Writing Center
The Writing Center at Haverford College fosters a culture of writing that includes conversation with peers and faculty members at all stages of the writing process.
Make an Appointment "Like Us" on FacebookAt the Writing Center, peer tutors and faculty members are available to talk with you at any stage of a writing project, from brainstorming ideas and framing a thesis to polishing syntax and style. We will work with you on your writing for any course or discipline, including essays for first-year Writing Seminars, lab reports, senior theses, and personal essays for fellowships or grad school applications. We also sponsor a Writing Partners program through which you can meet weekly with a peer tutor to develop your writing skills. Faculty affiliate Barbara Hall specializes in working with multilingual students and faculty affiliate Raquel Esteves-Joyce works primarily with senior thesis writers. In addition, the Writing Center sponsors workshops for writers across the disciplines.
