Haverford welcomes many visitors throughout the year. All kinds of people come to our 216-acre campus to learn more about the College, take tours, watch sporting events, enjoy concerts, attend weddings, walk dogs, run the track, admire the trees, and much more.
Conveniently located on the Main Line, Haverford sits less than ten miles from Philadelphia, seven miles from the University of Pennsylvania, and one mile from Bryn Mawr College. The campus feels secluded and tranquil, but it’s far from isolated. Visitors enjoy our proximity to great restaurants, theatres, shops, services, and nightlife, as well as the opportunities for recreation and appreciating nature. History buffs also like our 19th century buildings, as well as the Quaker and Special Collections found in the Magill Library.
Prospective students are highly encouraged to come visit our campus. Student-led tours are readily available, and you’re welcome to sit in on a class, eat in the Dining Center, and check out the various options for on-campus living. The Admission Office can help arrange your visit. If you’d prefer to experience Haverford on your own, you’re welcome to do that too; our campus is open to the public, and you can come by anytime.
For those interested in attending any of the many academic, artistic, cultural, and athletic events that Haverford regularly sponsors, the campus calendar is a great place to start. It contains listings for all events, from theatre to cricket matches, political meetings to a cappella concerts.
The Haverford campus is also an excellent location for non-academic events; we host summer programs, conferences, weddings, and other events, and provide facility rentals and catering as well. For more information, contact Dorothy Labe in Non-Academic Scheduling.
