Academics

Our picturesque 216-acre campus is open to the public throughout the year. We invite you to enjoy the architecture, walk the Nature Trail, attend performances and athletic events, and admire our historic arboretum.

Proximity to the Best of Philadelphia

Conveniently located on Philadelphia's Main Line, the College is:

  • less than ten miles from Philadelphia
  • seven miles from the University of Pennsylvania
  • one mile from Bryn Mawr College.

The campus feels secluded and tranquil, and yet offers proximity to the city's excellent amenities—restaurants, theaters, shops, services, and nightlife—as well as nature and opportunities for recreation.

A Campus Rich with History

Walk the campus to experience a landscape design that dates to 1834 and a nationally recognized arboretum. We're home to elegant, understated 19th-century architecture as well as Quaker and Special Collections housed in Magill Library.

Considering Haverford?

We encourage prospective students to visit our campus. Take a student-led tour, sit in on a class, eat in the Dining Center and check out options for on-campus living. The Office of Admission can help arrange your visit, but you're welcome to experience Haverford on your own, anytime.

A Full Calendar of Events

The campus calendar is a great place to start if you're interested in any of our academic, artistic, cultural and athletic events—from theater to cricket matches, political meetings to a cappella concerts.

A Unique Event Location

Haverford also hosts a wide range of non-academic events, including summer programs, conferences and weddings. We offer facility rentals as well as catering services.
