Eighth Dimension’s Annual Hunger Auction is drawing near, and we look forward to your assistance. Each year, faculty members, members of the staff and administration, and some students offer to cook a dinner for students to bid on at the auction, with all money going to local charities. The date of the dinner is mutually chosen by the buyer and by you, the “provider.” Dinners can be made for whatever size party is most convenient. In the past years, several thousand dollars were earned at each auction and then donated to such groups as the People’s Emergency Center, St. John’s Hospice, and St. Mary’s Respite Center.
This year’s Hunger Auction is being planned for Monday, November 18 through Thursday, November 21, and we would like to have it organized as soon as possible. Once items to be auctioned are known, we can make flyers and signs and start getting students excited for some great food and a great cause.
