You may have noticed that there are a dozen--if not more--'Haverford College' logos in use. Online....in print...on newsletters...letterhead....the variety is head-spinning, and an ineffective way to message our identity.
That's why your Communications Office partnered with the design firm SDYM, Inc. and a review committee of students, faculty, staff, alumni and board representatives to consolidate and unify our word mark: one college, one logo.
At this point we've arrived at what we think is an exciting and inspiring solution, but before making a commitment we're opening a "comment period" during which stakeholders are invited to express their thoughts about it: what they like, what, if any, concerns they might have, what opportunities they see in it (for example, younger members of our committee had helpful suggestions about how the graphic component could function on phones). Our goal is to inaugurate our mark when we inaugurate Dan Weiss.
