Haverford College will host an instructional softball clinic for girls, ages 7 to 12, on Sunday, January 27, 2013. Members of the Haverford team and coaching staff will instruct participants on the fundamentals of the game--throwing, fielding, hitting, pitching, baserunning--throughout the two-hour clinic.
The clinic will take place in Haverford College's Alumni Field House from noon to 2 p.m. Participants should bring a glove, sneakers, bat and water bottle.
Cost for the clinic is $25 per participant. As part of the softball team's community service project for the 2013 season, all registration fees will be donated to the StrikeOut Cancer initiative by the American Cancer Society. Funds raised by StrikeOut Cancer support cancer research and provide assistance to those living with cancer and their families. Checks should be made payable to "American Cancer Society."
Registration forms are available on softball's website. Walkups are welcome. Preregistration or advance notice of your intent to attend are appreciated. For more information about the clinic, please contact Haverford College's head softball coach, Jen Ward, at 610-896-4999 email@example.com
