Staff & Faculty Telephone Information
Haverford has installed a telephone Centrex system from Level 3 that is provided for all faculty and staff telephones. Voice Mail service is also provided using an Octel system located on the campus.
For student dorms, there is one line on each floor of the dorms with the exception of LLoyd 50 and HCA 10, 11, 18, 19, 30, 31, 35, 42, 46, 50 which do not have any phone lines. In case of emergency, students in these residences should use the emergency blue light phones. All phone lines in dorms are for local calls only.
Communications outlet at each desk or work location can be assigned a telephone number. You will note that the standard Communications Outlets have several jacks in them. The one labeled for voice communications is for the telephone, usually in the top position, or top right. The others jacks can be set up for computer, printer and other data connections.
