Before Departure: Tips While Abroad
Share Your New Address
Your new and exotic foreign address will be listed in the online Haverford College Online Directory. All you have to do is email it to Marianne Smith in the Housing Office. If you will be getting mail C/O your program (IES programs, Sweet Briar, CHP, Greece, Oxford, Ghana, Chile, etc.) that address will be entered for you.
Nota Bene: If you do not want your address published, you must notify Dean Mancini in writing.
Registration
You can register at Haverford College while you are abroad. Just follow the directions on the Registrar's site where you will also find a link to the Tri-Co course catalog. If you are abroad for the year, a Course catalog will be mailed to you at your Foreign Study address in time for you to pre-register. More information can be found in the Pre-departure Handbook.

Requesting a Transcript from Your Program
Upon completion of their studies, students should arrange to have a transcript sent to Dean Donna Mancini. Owing to privacy laws, only the student can request the transcript. The form requires a signature; therefore, it can only be done by letter or fax and not email. Partner institutions will provide the student with one or two official transcripts free of charge. If the student needs more transcripts there may be a fee, payable at the time of the request. It is easiest to order the transcript prior to departure as it will be difficult to send payment in the local currency once students return to the USA.
