About IAP: Academic Credit
Students are required to select their tentative course schedules before departure, and to fill out an Approved Programs Registration for International Study form. For the student to receive credit, both Dean Mancini and the student's major advisor must approve this form. If any course changes within the major are made after arrival at the international program, the student should write to the advisor as soon as possible.
Students are required to take ALL examinations as scheduled by their programs. All work must be completed before the program ends and students are required to stay until the program officially ends. All exams, papers, etc. for courses within their majors should be brought back to Haverford for review by their advisors. Students MUST achieve a "C" or better in the course to be granted credit by Haverford. Grades will not appear on Haverford transcripts; however, program transcripts will be forwarded to graduate schools, etc. upon written request. Courses successfully completed abroad may fulfill divisional, quantitative, foreign language, major, minor, concentration and elective requirements.
