Oh hey, I hope to meet you in person one day. But until the stars align, you are more than welcome to haverstalk me. If you are just applying to Haverford, or thinking about applying, just do it. You have no reason to believe me, but Haverford is a glorious place and I am loving every second here. If you are a fellow student, I'd love to hang out sometime. Come find me wherever poetry is happening.
I have a pretty basic philosophy: I am what I love:
poetry (both slam and page), performing and reading poetry, vegetarian food, human rights, friendship, following bands and going to concerts, hippies, collecting things (bracelets, buttons, hairclips, miniature turtles, cardigans, colored tights and high heels), cloth printed with mushrooms, thrift store clothes (especially ugly sweaters), tutoring kids, stargazing, finding inspiration in random places, red lipstick, marching band, sustainable agriculture, progressive judaism, novels, martial arts, dandelions, letters, having purple hair, seeing people grow, and grow up, guerilla art and inner-city activism.
Activities at Haverford:
The Squad and slam poetry endeavors, poetry reading group, the jewish student union (events and the board), tutoring at a church in ardmore, 8th dimension community service activities, upcoming sustainable agriculture projects with e-haus, & the haverford review, if everything goes as planned.
Major: Urban Studies (at Bryn Mawr) with an ultimate goal of becoming a social worker and family therapist for children of the inner-city.
My Top Link: my blog of creative writing, or midnight musings, if you are so inclined
My Top Five: places to wear an ugly sweater
- an ugly sweater party
- a poetry slam or open mic
- a concert (preferably indie music)
- in the snow (they are very warm)
- to socialize at Haverford. or in the city. {oh wait. these are just my favorite things ever.}
