Welcome!
I'm a junior here at Haverford. I am an economics and political science double major with a concentration in mathematical economics. I am interested in economics, public policy, game theory, math, finance, elections, business, and many more areas of study than I will list here. This semester, I'm taking Intermediate Microeconomics, The American Presidency, Advanced Calculus, and a junior seminar on labor markets in developing countries.
When I'm not in classes or doing work, I am often fencing. I am the sabre squad captain on the varsity fencing team. I love fencing, and this past season we won our conference for the second year in a row. In addition to fencing, I play the trumpet in the bi-college orchestra.
I was also recently named a Presidential Fellow for this school year. For the fellowship, I will travel to Washington, D.C. twice to represent Haverford at conferences on leadership and governance hosted by the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress.
During the academic year, I work on campus at the information desk of the Whitehead Campus Center, where I greet visitors and answer their questions about Haverford. I am also currently TAing a statistics course in the economics department.
This summer, I worked for Professor Anat Yom-Tov in the sociology department as a research assistant. We investigated the effects different types of social insurance programs had on people's percieved social mobility.
When I am not at Haverford, I live in Madison, WI.
