Hello! I'm Janela.
I'm a junior (Class of 2014) from Cincinnati, Ohio, and I have a lot of hometown pride. Like, probably more than Cincy really deserves. However, I love Haverford much more, so I'd never rather be there than here. I'm an Anthropology major, also interested in gender & sexuality studies, psychology, and creative writing, specifically poetry. Plus maybe education.
I am an Upper Class Advisor for the wonderful hall of Barclay Second South, and Co-Head of Haverford's Queer Discussion Group. I work in Magill Special Collections (the most exciting part of the library), and I am an enthusiatic member and Co-Treasurer of the Horned Toads (Bi-Co) Women's Rugby Team, which is absolutely amazing.
Things I like include: socks, sewing, stickers, snowboarding, alliteration, grape juice, simple jewelry, the Kings of Leon, nail polish, and waking up to unread text messages.
