"You fail to recognize that it matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be." - Albus Dumbledore
Hi! I'm Courtney and I'm a member of Haverford's class of 2013. I'm from the most glorious state of Maryland and think I grew up in the most ideal place in the world. My family has lived there for 7 generations so I guess I just can't imagine being anywhere else. But for now I do love my Haverhome an awful lot!
This past spring I declared a Biology major, which I'm excessively excited about, as well as a Psych minor and concentration in Neural and Behavioral Sciences. I want to be a pediatric oncologist when I grow up, but all the possiblities in science excite me!
I'm a goalie on the Haverford Field Hockey team and love my team so much. I also spend a lot of nights in the Science Library (getting paid to do homework in a wonderful place=best job in the world). Last year Haverford held a Relay for Life for the first time and I can't wait to make it even bigger and better this spring! We raised $22,000, which was amazing and I hope we can surpass that this year. I'm also excited to spend time working with the Leadership Institute and Pre-Health Society Exec. Boards.
While I love everything about Haverford, this year I am most enthusiastic about being a UCA for Gummere 1/2! It's going to be an amazing year!
In my free time I spend an obscene amount of time watching a wide variety of shows. Most obsessively Grey's Anatomy, but also Private Practice/SYTYCD/Kate Plus 8/The Bachelor(ette)/Modern Family/Glee/Survivor/Make It Or Break It/The Big Bang Theory. I also greatly enjoy coloring signs.
