Hello I'm Nigel Thornberry and today on the Wild Thornberrys...
Hey, my name is actually Chris Gall and I'm a senior here at Haverford. I've lived in Tarrytown, NY (right on the Hudson River and about half an hour north of New York City) for most of my life, but I was born in Puerto Rico and lived in Paris, France for two years. I'm majoring in History at Bryn Mawr and I'm a member of the Varsity Field Hockey team. My sophomore year I was a Customs Person for the Class of 2013 (Gummere 1/2, you're the best kids ever!) and last year I was an Upper Class Advisor for the Class of 2014 (once again for the spectacular Gummere 1/2!). Additionally I served on the 2011 Upper Class Advisor Selection Committee.
Other fun facts about me:
- I've been playing the guitar for about 9 years. My guitar's name is Telemachus (like from the Odyssey).
- I took breakdancing lessons for 2 years when I was in middle school.
- The summer after my freshman year I worked at a historical site by the name of Philipsburg Manor, a 17th/18th century Dutch farm. I was one of those people you see all dressed up in bonnets and wool skirts doing demonstrations. I did a lot of spinning and processing of sheep's wool, cooking turnips over open fires and talking about old medicinal practices.
- The past two summers I've worked on a farm.
- My favorite bands/groups, etc. include: Death Cab for Cutie, The Decemberists, Iron and Wine, Sufjan Stevens and The Remus Lupins.
- I like snowshoeing, cross country skiing, running, reading, eating, napping, and organizing. I also like hand made quilts, flannel, moccasins, blueberries, lists, being punchy, and home furnishing stores such as Pottery Barn. And I love Harry Potter... a lot.
My Top Link: Mugglenet
