"I am thinking of aurochs and angels, the secret of durable pigments, prophetic sonnets, the refuge of art." -Nabokov
Having spent my entire childhood in suburban New Jersey, I fled far away to the suburbs of Pennsylvania. Now dedicating the proverbial best years of my life to a sound education, I study biology and the fine arts in hopes of one day drawing things that are not monsters, half-bird, or made of lilypads. I am also sometimes caught writing poems of questionable merit, attempting to understand special topics in theoretical physics, and yawning in library alcoves.
I hope to continue my studies at the graduate level and enter the field of medical and scientific illustration. My life is all about the numerous and profound intersections between science and the arts. Lately I have been thinking about the role of art in the community and the interplay between artist, viewer, and the work itself.
