(11/08/06) Safety Alert: Burglaries/Thefts

Just a reminder - please keep your individual doors closed and locked when you are not in your rooms.

We need your help to end a problem plaguing the campus this fall - an inordinate number of items of value including laptops, iPods, and cash have been stolen from unlocked dorm rooms.

In these cases, the thief entered through an open suite door or was granted access into a building by well-meaning students.

While we don't expect students to confront strangers in uncomfortable situations, we would strongly hope that you would call Security when you see someone unfamiliar to you attempting to enter dorms.
