(10/20/03) HCA Peeper

On Sunday, October 20, 2003, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a Haverford student reported that a male was standing outside the rear of an HCA apartment building looking into a window. A second student in the same apartment reported observing some kind of camera in her window. The student yelled at the suspect and he jumped over a fence going towards the commercial apartment complex, towards Ardmore Avenue. The male fled the area prior to Security being called. Haverford College Security and Haverford Police responded, but were unable to locate the suspect.

He is described as white, 5'7" -5'9" tall, dark hair, thin build, in his twenties, wearing all dark clothing.

PLEASE NOTE: It is human nature to want to respond to situations like this immediately, but it is critically important to the apprehension of this suspect that Security and Police are called first. Do not verbally confront him. To the extent possible, go to an area out of the suspect's view and call Security first. He may still be at the window when security responds, rather than having a warning and time to flee. Please call Security (x1111) immediately if this male is observed on campus.
