(08/31/03) HCA Prowler

On Sunday, August 31, 2003, at approximately 2:25 a.m., a Haverford student reported that a male - described as approximately 25-30 years of age, stocky build, white male, wearing shorts, a dark colored t-shirt and a baseball cap - was standing at the rear of an HCA apartment standing at the rear of the building looking into to the window.

Students verbally confronted the male and he fled the area. Haverford College Security and Haverford Police responded, but were unable to locate the suspect.

Loitering and prowling around a residence is a crime. Please call Security immediately if this male is observed on campus.

PLEASE NOTE: It is human nature to want to respond to situations like this immediately, but it is critically important to the apprehension of this suspect that Security and Police are called first. Do not verbally confront him. To the extent possible, go to an area out of the suspect's view and call Security first. He may still be at the window when security responds, rather than having a warning and time to flee. Please call Security (x1111) immediately if this male is observed on campus.
