(07/24/02) HCA Burglaries

On Wednesday, July 24, 2002, there were several reports of burglaries from living rooms in the HCA complex. At least one of the burglaries occurred between 12:15 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. The apartments entered were not locked, and occupants were sleeping when the crimes occurred.

Much of the stolen property, consisting of a wallet, a purse, and cash, were later found discarded on County Line Road and on Ardmore Avenue, as well as in a trash can on the HCA Trail.

Please ensure that you lock your doors and that valuables are locked as well. Please do not prop exterior doors. Propped and unlocked doors can put you and others at risk. In addition, be alert and notify security immediately if you observe suspicious activity.
