(03/30/04) Safety Alert - Burglaries in the area...

Both Bryn Mawr and Harcum Colleges reported several burglaries of Academic and Administrative buildings in recent days. (Bryn Mawr Public Safety chased male who escaped on a bike - from outside their Campus Center where a window was found open this past Sunday).

Please be extra vigilant and help us by ensuring that doors and windows are closed and locked.

In addition, a non-student/staff/faculty member male was observed wandering around offices the INSC on 3/30/04, and an alert faculty member called Security. (The officer who responded thinks he recognized the male as he fled from campus, and an investigation is underway).

Please don't hesitate to call Security if you have a question or concern. We will respond quickly and handle things in a sensitive way. Watchfulness is an excellent deterrent.
