(03/24/04) HCA Burglary

On Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at approximately 9:00 p.m., a Haverford student reported that two suspicious males, wearing baseball caps and dark baggy clothing, were in the rear of 22 HCA, and then headed towards 14 HCA. The males had left the area when Security arrived, and are believed to have run to the area of 809 and 811 Ardmore Ave.

At approximately 10:19 p.m., a student at 14 HCA reported items taken from his apartment through a side window and thrown on the ground outside of the apartment. Actual entry had been made to obtain the items. Also found on the ground outside was a handbag belonging to a student in 18 HCA. Security responded to 18 HCA and found a window in the rear of the building forced open and confirmed that the handbag had been stolen from a student's room in the rear of the building.

Police and Haverford Security checked the entire HCA complex, but no suspects were located. Investigation is ongoing. Please immediately report any thefts to Security and call immediately if suspicious persons are in the area, especially in the rear of the buildings.
