It appears that some have become fixated on the ethnic and religious background of this host. Do they wish to examine whether I am an "ethnically pure" Serb? I will repeat what I said before: my Serb relatives from the Krajina are now missing, dead, or refugees, and my Serb relatives from Bosnia are struggling to get by. That is all I wish to say about the matter.
Mr. Malloy charges that I wish to blame all Serbs for the excesses of some individuals. As anyone reading the postings above can tell, my entire effort has been to avoid generic blame against groups for the actions of individuals. So I condemn totally the genocide committed by Ustashe in WW2 and I condemn their present-day apologists in Zagreb and Mostar, but I reject, totally, the effort to smear all Croats and Bosnians with the guilt of those who participated in the Ustashe.
Similarly, the full focus of my postings has been to identify individuals accused of genocide, demand trial for them, and avoid blaming all Serbs for the deeds of these individuals and their followers. I have never used generic terms like "Serb genocide," but have referred very precisely to religious nationalist militias, whom I have identified, and to individuals (Radovan Karadzic, Ratko Mladic, Goran Jelisic, Zeljko Meakic, Dusan Sikirica, and Dragan Nikolic) to name a few, who have been indicted by the Tribunal for genocide, as well as other individuals (Serb, Croat, and Bosnian Muslim) who have been indicted for other war-crimes. Why does my criticism of the likes of Goran Jelisic and what went on at the Brcko-Luka death camp enrage Serb nationalists on this network? Is it not that they are the ones who wish all Serbs to take the "credit" for the actions at Brcko-Luka and Srebrenica?
The entire point of the Tribunal in The Hague is to avoid fixing the blame for the genocide in Bosnia on entire peoples, but to identify and make accountable the individuals involved. For this reason, The Serb Synod, by opposing cooperation with The Hague, actually harms the effort to keep all Serbs from being tarred forever with the guilt of the unspeakable atrocities at Srebrenica, Omarska, Keraterm, and Brcko-Luka.
What those who have attacked me object to is my stance against the leadership of the Republika Srpska who have been indicted for genocide. If Serbs want to be free of generic guilt for the genocide, we should make clear we don't support it, we don't condone it, we don't excuse it, and we don't make those who perpetrate it into heroes, and we gladly support the efforts of the world community to try parties on any side accused of crimes against humanity or genocide, and we consider these atrocities not only crimes against humanity, but crimes against the Serbian religious, cultural, and historical heritage in whose name the atrocities were carried out.
As for Mr. Malloy's comment that I am a paid propagandist, I didn't know this interesting fact and I'm fascinated to learn it. Perhaps Mr. Malloy could identify who is supposed to be paying me, and let that party know that they forgot to send the check. :)
