REGISTRATION FOR PENN AND SWARTHMORE COURSES

TO REGISTER FOR A SWARTHMORE COURSE:

1. When Swarthmore courses are available, they will appear on-line on the Tri-Co Course Guide.  If you want to register for a Swarthmore course (or one at Penn), you cannot do so on-line but must fill out a form that you can print using the following link:
http://www.haverford.edu/registrar/forms/Swarthmore_UPenn.pdf
2. Complete the top of the form with the appropriate course(s) and bring it to the Registrar’s Office to have the course(s) included with your registration;
3. The final step in a Swarthmore registration is to go to the Swarthmore Registrar’s Office web page to print the form for your registration for Swarthmore courses there. If you omit step 3, you will not be registered for any course at Swarthmore.

TO REGISTER FOR A UPENN COURSE:

     The University does not allow pre-registration of Haverford and Bryn Mawr students, so in essence, you must register for Penn courses when you return to Haverford in late August.

1. Available UPenn courses are on-line on the College of General Studies Course Guide, http://www.sas.upenn.edu/CGS/courseguide/.

(a) Print the form as indicated in the Swarthmore instructions above using the following link:

http://www.haverford.edu/registrar/forms/Swarthmore_UPenn.pdf

Complete the bottom of the form, have it approved in writing by your Advisor and the Haverford Registrar, and deposit it in the Haverford Registrar’s Office.  My office will fax the form to UPenn;
(b) Read and follow the Penn registration instructions, which can be found as follows:
http://www.sas.upenn.edu/cgs/reciprocal/

Included here is another form that is necessary to register at UPenn.  Please note: UPenn is in the process of updating this form.

(c) Under no circumstances are you to contact the UPenn Professor for permission to enter his/her course. This will only complicate matters and in all probability, you will not be admitted to the course.
