This seminar explores the meaning and practice of empowerment through education, asking how educators may contribute to learners' survival and liberation as individuals and members of various groups. Through engaging in tutoring, mentoring, and others types of learning support, students investigate teaching, learning, and advocacy on interactional and structural levels. Praxis field placements include campus roles as T.A., peer mentor, PLI leader; off-campus programs; and staff-student educational partnerships at Bryn Mawr. Enrollment limited to 20 students. Priority to students enrolled in the Education certification or Minor program. This is a Praxis I course.
