We are offering two opportunities to meet Ms. LaDuke, an internationally acclaimed author, orator and activist who has dedicated her life to protecting the lands and life ways of Native communities. Any Haverford student, faculty, or staff member can apply to engage in a workshop or to enjoy a catered meal with Ms. LaDuke. There are twenty spots open for each activity -
Joe Volk comes to the College for a three-week stay as Haverford's first Friend in Residence. The aim: to highlight the College's Quaker roots and increase connections to the Quaker community. -

Three years in the making, this program seeks to pair together interested students and non-students in the Haverford Quaker community to encourage deeper and more intentional relationships outside of the academic classroom. Individuals can sign up at any point in the year and we will work to pair you immediately! Haverford's Quaker student group QuaC has received a grant to fund a series of visits to other Quaker-affiliated colleges across the country. The aim: to build stronger ties and learn from each other. -
Students from Haverford, Bryn Mawr, and Swarthmore joined together on a Fall break service learning trip to Coal River Valley, WV, to study the political, economic, and environmental effects of mountaintop removal coal mining on Appalachian communities. Sponsored by Haverford Quaker Affairs Office. Funded by CPGC. Hosted by Coal River Mountain Watch. -
