Hoop Dreams: Margarita Padin '86

Basketball began for Margarita Padin back home in
Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, at the hoop her parents put up in the
back yard. It enriched her college days at Haverford, where
she followed brother José Padin '85 and played on the
women's basketball team. It sustained her after her 1987
graduation, when she worked as a teacher, community activist
and union carpenter -- professions she still practices
today....
