How I got
here: While at Union decided to spend the rest of my life in College.
Met future husband and native Californian (Jason), developed fascination with Biological Psychology and
deep-seated need to explain things to people.
Decision: go to graduate school in California, become a Biological Psychology
professor at small liberal arts college.
Attended UCLA, married Jason, began research on sex differences in
analgesic response to stress, finished my Ph.D. Joined the faculty of Haverford College
in 1995.
