Course Information


Time & Location: Fall semester, 2004; Wednesdays 12:30-2:00pm; INSC H204 (Computer lab on the second floor, down the hall from the commons area)

Course Objectives: Students will become familiar with the methodological and measurement practices that are commonly employed in social psychological research. Both quasi-experimental and survey methodologies will be explored, with students completing activities and projects to gain relevant research experience.

 


Required Text*: 

Publication manual of the American Psychological Association (5th ed.). (2001). Washington, DC: American Psychological Association.

*In addition, a few selected readings will be made available via Blackboard. Supplemental reading assignments will be announced in class and on the 'Home' and/or 'Lab Schedule' sections of this web site, and will be listed below.) 

It is also assumed that you have copies of the texts for PSY 224, and are keeping up with those assigned readings.
